Melbourne is the first stop of our 2026 Extreme Violence Summit, a full-day event delivering advanced insights into the dynamics, drivers, and prevention of extreme violence. This summit brings together leading experts to explore the most urgent issues surrounding targeted acts of harm and mass-casualty violence.
This event examines extreme acts of violence—primarily homicide—with a specific focus on targeted violence, including intimate partner homicide, fatal stalking cases, and lone-actor attacks. Across the day, presenters will unpack the complex interplay of clinical, psychological, behavioural, and ideological factors that escalate individuals toward harmful or homicidal behaviour.
